In the past, agriculture was one of the main sources of income, especially with palm cultivation, which formed a mainstay of the local economy and food. Today, despite the climate challenges, agriculture in the UAE has developed thanks to modern technology, and the most important agricultural products now include dates, tomatoes, cucumbers, and leafy vegetables that are grown efficiently in greenhouses.
